This course is aimed at non-bilingual teachers who are thinking about working in the education sector or who already work as a Spanish teacher and would like to amplify their knowledge.
To participate in this course, it is necessary to already have a medium level in the Spanish language (B1 to C1).
The course contains:
- 5 daily lessons in groups of a maximum of 10 students where the teachers can reactivate and improve their grammar and their communication skills.
- 2 daily lessons in which the students will observe different classes.
- 1 daily session (in mini-groups of a maximum of 5 students) in order to perfect their teaching skills through different didactic techniques and technologies.
Objectives of the course: The most important objective is that the participant learns or improves his teaching skills. Therefore these aspects are important: working in a team, linguistic skills, how to plan the lessons, the analysis of didactical material, communicative techniques and activities, and the ability to teach students at every language level…
Contents of the specific session in the teacher’s course:
- Theory: theoretical description of the language levels, a short explanation of the “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages”: contents, objectives, and evaluation…
- How to plan the lessons: There is compiled material available in our classrooms that we have already tried out successfully so that you can use it in your respective classes and in order to support learners of different ages and different nationalities if necessary. Also, we are going to think about how to plan conversation classes having the difficulties in mind that a large number of students might cause.
- Conflicts and difficulties in Spanish grammar: using the different forms of the past, the “subjuntivo”, “ser” and “estar”, resolving doubts…
Final certificate: By finishing the course the participant will receive a certificate from our school which contains the number of lessons, the dates and the language level. Also, we are going to write a special note that our school is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes.
